Cycle City Network Nepal played a leading role in implementing the national ‘My Way, Greenway’ campaign — an innovative effort to promote cycling and sustainable urban living through gamification. In collaboration with UNDP, Ncell Axiata, local governments, and other partners, the campaign expanded to six cities across Nepal.
The program used the Greenway mobile app to incentivize cycling with real-time tracking, rewards, and carbon-saving metrics. Through this digital platform, users could track their rides, earn GreenUps rewards, and measure their environmental impact making sustainability personal, measurable, and fun.
The campaign sparked a shift in urban transport behavior while empowering women, students, and youth across diverse geographies. It laid the foundation for long-term infrastructure, inclusive mobility, and environmental consciousness in Nepal.
