Training Women to Ride and Access Safer, Everyday Mobility video

For many women, learning to ride a bicycle became an opportunity to experience greater confidence, independence, and freedom in everyday movement.
Through community-led cycling training sessions, participants were introduced to safer riding practices in a supportive and encouraging environment. The initiative focused on making cycling feel accessible and approachable while helping women build practical mobility skills for daily life.
Beyond learning to ride, the experience also encouraged stronger participation in public spaces and promoted more inclusive access to active mobility within communities.

The Experience

The training sessions created a supportive and encouraging environment where participants could learn cycling at their own pace while building confidence through community participation.
Alongside practical riding lessons, the initiative also encouraged conversations around safer mobility, accessibility, and active lifestyles. For many participants, it was their first experience engaging with cycling in a public and community-focused setting.
