On 3 June 2026, Cycle City Network Nepal (CCNN), in collaboration with Boston International College and government, educational, private-sector, and community partners, celebrated World Bicycle Day 2026 in Bharatpur under the theme “Wheels of Change: Celebrating Mobility, Health & Sustainability.”

Event Highlights
The celebration combined cycling, education, art, and community engagement to promote healthier lifestyles and sustainable mobility. Activities included:
- Bicycle Rally promoting active and sustainable transportation
- Mural Art Competition involving students from 10 community schools
- Community awareness sessions on cycling, climate action, and public health
- Pledge Wall encouraging commitments to sustainable mobility and safer streets
- Free Bicycle Check-up Camp providing basic bicycle inspections and maintenance
- Graduation ceremony recognizing 30 new Bicycle Training of Trainers graduates
The event strengthened community awareness of cycling as a practical, healthy, and environmentally friendly mode of transport while supporting Bharatpur’s vision of becoming a more bicycle-friendly city.
