World Stroke Day Bicycle Rally 2025

ORGANIZED BY Cycle City Network Nepal (CCNN)
PARTNER Nepal Stroke Association, Budhanilkantha Municipa

About

The World Stroke Day Bicycle Rally 2025 was organized by the Nepal Stroke Association under the Nepal Stroke Project to raise public awareness on stroke prevention, early symptom recognition, and the importance of timely medical response. Supported by Budhanilkantha Municipality and managed by CCNN, the rally brought together cycling enthusiasts and community members.

More than 100 cyclists registered, with additional spontaneous participation on the day of the event. CCNN ensured coordination and safety throughout the 5 KM route with support from municipal police and trained bicycle marshals — many of whom were women previously trained through CCNN’s marshal training initiative. The rally concluded at Budhanilkantha Temple with an awareness and stroke risk assessment program led by neurologists and medical professionals.
