In 2025, funds raised through KORA supported the installation of solar home systems for 25 Danuwar families in Indrawati Rural Municipality, Sindhupalchowk. These households had lived without electricity for generations, relying on kerosene lamps and other unsafe light sources that limited education opportunities, increased household risks, and affected the dignity and well-being of women and children.
Through community coordination and local implementation by Samaj Sahakarya Saptari, the initiative brought clean, reliable lighting into homes and strengthened a sense of visibility and inclusion for a historically marginalized community.
